Just shows how far removed from reality hardcore union workers are. Incentives for performance give employees a reason to work harder. Seniority based pay and complicated work rules about who can and cannot perform certain tasks do not encourage productivity. Considering those "select employees" were responsible for $53 million in incremental revenue, I'd say it was a very good use. Maybe NW should find a way to use more incentives for more groups.

Gosh, you know, a decent wage and a pension does wonders for staff morale, too.

But NW is cutting those.

So you have to wonder how all those RSA's are going to sell tickets if there are no flights.
