On July 19th, EgyptAir received a licence to serve Canada. Does anyone have preliminary info on start dates, city/cities to be served, and proposed schedule and routing?
Cairo was on Air Canada's wish list for the year 2000. Anyone know if they will begin competitive service on the route or if a codeshare will be proposed?

Does Egyptair still have 767s? I know they lost one in the crash, and then another one was heavily damaged on landing or something (I can't remember). I thought they only had 2 763s in their fleet. Anyone know?

According to an MS's rep in Toronto, they will start YUL-CAI in January. A recent issue of a travel agencies trade mag reported they were going to fly YUL-JFK-CAI twice a week (Wed/Fri) in November. YYZ might come later.

Wow, where have they been for the last 15 years, don't they know that YYZ is the Center of the Universe?? Why would they want to go to YUL???
HEHEHEHE JUST KIDDING GUYS, I HOPE I HAVEN"T OFFENDED ANY YUL'ers OUT THERE, I KNOW MONTREAL HAS A BIG EGYPTIAN POPULATION......BESIDES WE HAVE NO MORE ROOM AT YYZ, SO THEY CAN TAKE THEIR TIME....I personally hope that it is still a few years before they start crashing their planes into Lake Ontario.....
