How many planes are currently fitted with the SAS Braathens livery? Do anyone have a schedule for when all planes are due to be painted in this livery? Has the management given a deadline as to when all planes are supposed to being finished?

According to www.plane-spotter.com, SAS Braathens have five aircraft in Braathens colours:

737-505 (LN-BRH, LN-BRO), 737-683 (LN-RRY) and 737-783 (LN-RPJ, LN-RNN).

Thank you. Do you know if there is a deadline to change livery on all Aiplanes?

The Norwegian flag is getting smaller. On the nose, the flags from Denmark and Sweden are gone. Wonder if the same thing will happend in SAS Denmark and Sweden?

I guess having the Norwegian or Danish flag on the aircrafts is not such a good idea for the timing beeing......

Yes, I guess a lot of these nations forget pretty quickly all the charity us Scandinavians have give over the years to them. But I guess this isn't the place to discuss this!!

I don't know if all people are aware of this. But 1% if not more of the Norwegian tax income is sent to states in need. The state of Norway and Denmark has apologized, as has the Danish newspaper Jyllands-posten. I hope the outrage calms down. Lives of people who had nothing to do with the drawings have wastefully been lost in this dispute.

Over to the Subject. I believe that the planes already in SAS color scheme should not take to much time to be painted in the right color. Is the SAS Braathens logo and the flag painted on to the body?

It is painted, no stickers. Also the Scandinavian Airlines and other elements are painted on the fuselage. A full strip down is needed and the new colour scheme will be applied after C/D-checks.

Do SAS top brass like this move, or is the Norwegian division going alone more or less? According to other threads SAS is not doing well. Is it falling apart?

Thanks,

Peter

SAS is already divided into 4:

SAS Danmark - Denmark
SAS Sverige - Sweden
SAS Braathens - Norway
SAS international - intercontiental division.

All are operated as individual companies.

Not sure what this mean, but previously SAS airline operated as one company in all three countries. Today SAS Braathens in Norway has their own livery, their own uniforms, their own aircrafts etc.

SAS Braathens will not operate in Sweden/Denmark. Cabin crew/aircrafts at SAS Braathens will not be used in Seden/Denmark etc.

Hello to all of you!

If you want some details about the SAS fleet (Braathens included) this is a good place to start your search:

http://www.sasflightops.com
(- then push "fleet")

However I cannot see any details about the repaint of the Braathens fleet.

Regards
Steen

The reason is....SAS is not that focused on the Norwegian market.

Check out http://www.scanair.no click "Skandinaviske flyselskap" (Scandinavian airlines) and look for "SAS Braathens" under "Norske flyselskap" (Norwegian airlines).
The "SAS Braathens"-link give you an up date on all aircrafts at SAS Braathens. The ones marked with a small Norwegian flag have the the SAS Braathens livery.
