I have a 767-300 on Monday from PBI to ATL. I dont know any other airline that has such large planes on short routes. Love it.

It's no international config though. Expect the standard Domestic service. They also fly like 20 of them to Florida daily. I actually prefer the 764 to FLL - It is one of my favorite aircraft, even thoug DL did a poor job configuring it.

Yeah, I flew DL on a domestic 763. They're a fairly unique airline in some ways, at least for plane spotters in the US. WN is quite frankly the best run airline I've ever delt with, but from a aircraft fan's perspective they are just plain dull as nails. Having DL around helps keep things interesting, even though they don't fly anything big into SAT.*

With your title you're just begging for a flame war from some of the DL-haters on here. DL's main reason for flying the big metal down to Florida is because of capacity. They funnel so many people in and out of the state it is ridiculous. Many of them are headed to the Mouse House or other touristy traps in my homestate. Up until December they had a 777 on the MCO route twice a day. That was always a nice one to fly home on since I always got the upgrade into BizElite for the short hop.

Only the F cabin, which, hopefully, when they reconfigure to BE, will be much better.

Only 8 of the 767-400ERs will be reconfigured with BusinessElite seating. These aircraft will be used on the international routes. The rest of them will remain in the current configuration, and will remain on domestic routes.

Also, the 767-300ERs in domestic configuration will be converted to international with BusinessElite. The non-ERs will remain in domestic configuration.

Um...I didn't know that *any* 763ERs were using the domestic configuration. I was pretty sure they all had BE.

No, DL had a handfull...i want to say 6 or so 763s that were delivered in the late 90s in domestic config. These are all to be converted to BizElite soon, if not already being configured.

IIRC DL has 8 DL 767-300ERs in a domestic configuration.

I like flying Delta due to the fact that you can fly a 767 to most big cities. And along with the MD88, the 767 offers 2 seating instead of the 3-3 seating most airlines offer with 737s, 319s, 320s.

some were actually delivered after 2000. not sure why they weren't fitted with the 764 interior tho.

The best seats are seats 10F and 10G. These are the crew rest seats used on HNL flights. They have extra legroom and footrests.

If you can't get those seats, then I would go with seats 33 C, D, or E.

I just flew DL Tues/Weds ewr-cvg-lga and once again was treated to typical DL service. Polite, quick and always with a smile. Was in 1D on the outbound 738 and 2A on the inbound MD88.

My only gripe ever about Delta is why can't they put those damn winged headrests on the fleets??

Otto & others who work for DL, thanks again for great flights!!!

What are you trying to say? DL doesn't do anything special in regards to the way they have chose to equip the interiors of any of the a/c you mention that they operate in this sentence compared to anyone (in the USA) except CO for the 767 if you are talking about seating.

In time, it's rather certain that DL will convert all transoceanic capable aircraft into int'l configuations, including all of the 764s. Although they could keep a few for Hawaii service, it is more likely they will all get a Business Elite cabin. They are only converting now what they can use for currently int'l expansion. 8 763ERs are being converted now for this summer. 8 764s will be converted this winter for next summer and I bet another batch will be done next winter. DL still has 2 more years or significant int'l growth just w/ its current widebody fleet.
