I flew from HNL to NRT in FEB 2004. Was served a drink called JAL Skytime. It was Remimartin Red in Kiwi Juice. What is RemiMartin Red? Is it sometime made exclusively for JL? I remember that the drink was red. I have tried to buy RemiMartin Red, but have had no luck. I have enquired about this drink from JL F/As but didn't get an answer. I wondered if they understood my question. Can anyone out there help me? I loved that mixed drink and would like to drink it while on vacation in March.

Where can I buy this Remy Martin Red? Checked Duty Free shops in NRT, TPE, HNL, and KIX. Told by sales associates that they have never heard of Remy Martin Red. All of them tried to see me Remy Martin X0.

SkyTime is non-alcoholic.

It must have been something else that had the wine in it.

I dunno, other than the web site I showed you in post 1. I just found it on Google.

Sounds like a good reason to route my next trip through HNL first.

I'm sure that takeing a diversion to Hawaii can't be all that bad... maybe a couple day layover  Smile

Skytime?

Quoting http://www.jal.co.jp/en/inflight/inter/topics/skytime.html:

Sky Time is a unique drink made especially for JAL, which has become quite a hit during our in-flight beverage service. Due to its popularity, we have introduced another new taste sensation, Yuzu Citrus flavor Sky Time.

The drink not only contains real yuzu (citrus junos) juice, but also has nigari (desalinized, purified seawater) to replenish minerals that can be lost through stress.

Be sure to enjoy this tart yet sweet beverage with the refreshing taste of yuzu.

Quoting http://nexus0123.blogspot.com/:

It was a golden pale yellowish color which looked a bit lighter than ginger ale except that it wasn't carbonated. I took a cautious sip and found that it was actually quite refreshing. I wasn't able to figure out exactly what the stuff was made of from that one glass, but at first, I thought it was a plum or pear juice of some sort. But according to JAL's website, it's actually made of nigari (desalinized purified seawater) and yuzu juice (which is a type of citrus fruit).

I was thinking about trying it myself (flown JL a few times) until I saw that it came out of a chicken broth box. That killed my enthusiasm for some reason. I had some catalog from JL (in Japanese) that seemed to be selling the Sky Time drink. However, it sounds like you're looking for something other than just the Sky Time liquid.

Try asking for a Reso'cha cocktail

and surely it will appear red then due to the sparkling wine added.

I love SkyTime!

Never tried the citrus flavored one mentioned in reply 8, only the kiwi flavored SkyTime. Great stuff!
