Hi everybody If there is any F/A based at ATL please contact me as soon as you can. I´m trying urgently to get in touch with a friend of mine based at ATL and I think this might be the only way to get in touch with him.

It does not look like he is Delta employed and would have access to DALNET.

I don´t know how it works in DL, but a friend of my that works in UA says he can look up in the F/A computers and it gave him my friend information. Does DL have the same facilities for their crew? That´s what I am asking if anybody can tell me if he really is flying for DL. His name is Cristian Rivera.

If he's a F/A at DL, then the second e-mail format would work best (john.r.doe). Since we came into the Outlook e-mail system later than the rest of the company they assigned us e-mail addresses using the middle initial. If it comes back as undeliverable then he's either not at DL or he might have a different name than you think!
I don't recognize the name myself (although I couldn't possibly know ALL the F/As at DL!). FYI, the only info our computer program would give is his schedule, no other details.
Sorry I couldn't be too much help...try the e-mail, sounds like your best bet!

If he's a friend of yours I would imagine you would have other means available to you to contact your friend. Being that no one really knows you or your intentions, I hope that no one gives up personal information regarding this individual you seek out.

yeah,
I agree with you "Jumbojet." This whole thread is just a little too weird. Please, no one give out any persoal information about this "wanted" person. Because who knows what the "seekers" intentions are.

Now that is disturbing. I feel sorry for you for working at a company that goes as far as monitoring employees on the internet even though I do understand how employees must not discuss their views of their employer in public.
I sure am glad that I don't have affiliations with a company that practices such policies.

You would prefer a company that doesn't mind its employees giving out other employees information on the internet? Imagine if this person was asking for your information.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

O come on I don´t see anything weird about asking just if he is working for DL yes or no. I think you are over reacting. Forget all I said before everybody, especially you "theflyguy2" you really sound like a jerk. I just thought it could be easy to find somebody in DL. UAL supplies the information so easily. Thanks to everyone that try to help me. Case closed.

Well I know that I would get in trouble if it was found out that I let out information, but they extensively train people on what you are allowed to discuss. There are strict regulations on company secrets and of course classified information, but I have never been told that the company actively monitors employees as a big brother.
Letting personal information out on the internet is not a good idea, but I am surprised that a company actually admits to monitoring its employees activities on the internet. I prefer the tacit prevention used by other companies as I feel that it is a lot more professional. You don't get much employee loyalty when you outwardly say that you are monitoring their activities and you don't trust them to use their own discretion. It seems like that would cause a huge clash between management and employees. I fortunately have never been in an environment and have always loved the companies that I have worked for and am proud to be associated with them.

I don't believe Delta actively monitors their employees' use of the internet in their off time (and if they do I can almost guarantee they'll never admit it! lol). I know AT work, an employee's use of the web is timed, and after so long you can be cut-off...but that's a productivity issue. They don't want us to spend our whole day on eBay while ignoring the customer or anything. In addition there are a few sites that are blocked (such as e-mail ones), but the computers belong to DL so that is their prerogative...
As far as sites like this, I'm pretty sure DL corporate doesn't spend their time monitoring posts. It'd be more likely that a fellow employee on the forum would see something posted inappropriately and (perhaps) make DL aware of it. And if it were MY personal information, or some deep, dark corporate secret I'd be thankful if another employee saw it and made me (or someone in the G.O.) aware of it!

Quoting Raes (Reply 20): All this reminds me a bit of that Queen of the Skies woman who was allegedly fired by DL because of her blog.
The funny thing about that is DL only found her "inappropriate pics" after she contacted DL about advertising the company on her blog. No one to blame but herself (although I do think it sucks she lost her job over it!).

Disturbing to say the least. Twice I have received emails through a.net "contact" link asking me to "come in" and explain the views i have discussed in this forum.
i have since dramatically reduced my posts and say nothing that might personally identify me.
