I still have several of these. Maybe one day these will become a collectors item. Blue socks with bright pink stripes. I always run across these in my house, especially when I am searching for something that I really need.

Nice touch though of BA to continue to offer these.

Picked up 8 between us on Cathay Pacific recently, we each got one on every flight. They are in a cool little grey bag with a zip and a lanyard, inside them are a toothbrush, toothpaste and a pair of flight socks. They also came around offering everyone eye shades.

Cheers,
Noel

If you get one, consider yourself lucky. Out of sixteen international coach flights of between three and fourteen hours each across three continents on six airlines I have still never received any amenity kit whatsoever.

For AA, I believe they sell their amenity kits (socks, toothbrush, eyeshade) in their international duty free magazine.

CX serves them still free of charge. A pair of socks, a toothbrush/toothpaste, some mints, eyeshades can be given on request.

Umm.. May be I was unlucky. I didn't get anything in a recent DXB-JNB-DXB filight. Its about 8 hours each way. EK seem to have a different definition of long haul.

Really? I find CX's amenities kit nothing special. But then, any Y class kit is nothing special, and at least CX is one of the few airlines still offering them.

But then I don't know whether you are talking about the kit itself, or what CX offers on request. I believe CX also offers playing cards, pens, stationary kit, eyeshades on request, in addition to the amenities kit.

VS's kit is good. I like the fact that everything (including pens and notepads) is already there in the bag for you.
