Ryanair's latest, EI-DLG, delivered BFI-YYC-DUB last night/this morning. Any ideas why? Normally they go through Keflavik.

I guess it doesn't matter if you first do a short hop and then do the long bit or the other way around.

For A319 etc deliveries from Hamburg to the US some stop at Prestwick or Keflavik, whereas others will stop at Goose Bay or Bangor (or other places in Canada/US).

As long as they end up in Dublin, I don't care which way they go!

I guess at this time of year, weather considerations will be a major factor; KEF can have pretty strong winds at this time of year and being a twin engined aircraft, there are also ETOPS issues to consider.

Yes I guess there might have been bad wx at KEF.

I don't think ETOPS regs apply to ferry/non-revenue flights...

OR perhaps they were visiting Westjet...
But I'd better stop now, as this is the way unfounded rumours start Big grin

I reckon bad weather at KEF. I love seeing new FR Aircraft coming in, they really look like the wrapper has just been peeled off for the first time when they first arrive.... Almost makes me afraid to touch the aircraft encase i dirty it.
