Something just flew past my house with 4 engines and I only caught a fleeting glimpse of it. I do not see it on any of my flight trackers either. Could anybody please help?
I dont want to miss out on something really neat at the airport!

Thanks!

It was a Lowa's 707 (N88ZL) flying in from PIE. Information from FlightAware. Arrived at 1524hrs.

Lowas? Whats that?

If you're not busy, get your camera and get out to FLL.....if you're lucky, he will still be on the ground by the time you get there.

LOL! Well, it will take me about 4 hours to drive to FLL from TPA. Do you think he will still be in FLL by then?  Wink J/K
Thanks for the info though!

Where did ya'll find that info? I have about 4 different flight trackers and none of them showed a 707!!!!

Maybe there was yet ANOTHER accident on I-275 North near the Kennedy Blvd exit, and he wanted to avoid it.  Smile

Hahaha, sorry about that SWA! I had been tracking JT's 707 before I came across your post, so when I opened it, I assumed without thinking that you were talking about it arriving at FLL....not too often these days that one can talk about two airborne 707s. Obviously a more thorough study of the subject would have spared me the embarassement, but I did manage to change my post accordingly....whew!  rotfl

Nevermind. It was Bonjovi's. That's neat, not long ago I was looking at pictures of this 707 off the runway in Canada and today I see it (ever so briefly) flying over my house in Tampa!

Did I read flightaware correct? The flight was only 2 minutes. That must have been something to see. Might even be the record for the shortest flight by a 707.

A colleague just told me that there is a Togo Govt B707 sitting on the ramp at AUH right now. Apparently it is a rare -100 series, like Travolta's, so I'm gonna take a walk to the cafe from where I'll be able to catch a glimpse.

Pity it is forbidden to photograph airside here.... grrrr!

I think it's time for an intervention! You must find better music to listen to these days.  biggrin  Plus, Best of Both Worlds was a cheesy Van Haggar/Halen song. Enjoy the show though. He still puts on a great one despite the 80s wannabe hair metal.

Somehow I don't think it did a straight line 9 miles at 240mph!

The flight plan said 19 minutes.

It went to DAB to see the race perhaps ...due back to TPA later Sunday:

Same thing as GMT/Greenwich Mean Time. Since these are all in the eastern time subtract 5 hours (maybe 6 because of Daylight Savings Time?) from the time shown to get the local time.
