Tonight was the easist shift ever. I sat in the ramp agent office, ate pizza rolls, and watched Star Wars Episodes III, IV, and V. Most of FX Ops are cancelled. Here at AUS it's 31F and misting. At MEM it's 19F and not snowing anymore. Any horror stories about trying to get home on an a/c 2nite?

Wow... must be nice to have it only be cold (with mist) and everything gets cancelled. It's -3*F here (Beaver Dam, WI) and nothing that I know of has been cancelled or delayed because of it.

Hey Obama, keep the change! I want my dollar back.

I forgot to mention, the majority of flights were cancelled due to lack of crews. They (union) can only stay on shift so long, so by the time the snow let up and a/c got de-iced at MEM, the crews had gone home! Haha. I'm home now drinking a beer!

i had to fly DFW-STL today on AA Flight 690, we left the gate on time but had to be de-iced, that took 50 minutes.

Otherwise, it was fine getting home.

SJO's current METAR as of 0500z:

MROC 190500Z 09016G26KT CAVOK 20/15 A2999

The winds of 090 at 16 and gusts at 26 is nothing surprising for me. I look outside and the wind can sometimes blow away the curtains. This should provide for some crosswind landings tonight.

Current weather at GFK winds 240 at 14 visibility 10 statute miles and clear skys. Cold night at -13 C and the dewpoint is -20C with high pressure in the area. Pretty typical, cold, North Dakota night.

NW, the only way out.....
