The mail i received from Aerotransport.org , speednews chapter.
"PIA says Business Plan for 2006-2011 includes acquisition of 12 777s (has ordered 8 , leasing a 9th from ILFC) , 10 turboprops (ordered 7 ATR42-500s) , 3 A310Fs , 3 'new technology medium-capacity aircraft' , and 7 new technology narrowbodies'.It expects annual pax traffic growth of 8% and 12% for cargo."
Also read somewhere they are looking to lease immediatly 3 A310-300s or A300-600s.
I am a bit confused , as rumours are flotting , saying PIA has bought 747-8s.
Some comments
- The 3 777s they plan to purchase to reach 12 as they said will be 200ERs , 200LRs or 300ERs ?
- The medium-capacity aircraft = 787 or A350
- The 7 new technology narrow bodies = 737NG/A32X , or 737NNG/A32XNG ?

Difficult to say if they wish to become an all Boeing fleet or if they will split their future orders.
No time date revealed for the future orders , so we only have to wait for the answer...........
Would like to know more about this 747-8 rumour , despite a threat has been opened on Airliners.net , no real answer.Maybe at the Singapore Air Show......
