Airbus to choose Chinese city for general assembly line next month.

Options : Shanghai, Tianjin, Xi'an and Zhuhai.

It will be the third A320 line, next to Hamburg & Toulouse.

Foreseen production ~50 per year, however who knows, this is China..

Every time Humbert discusses this topic it sounds like he will put on three condoms before they celebrate the wedding night.  Wink

Let's hope those thirteen year olds are as good at making planes as they are at making soccer balls.

Well, here's another note from Xinhua detailing the closer Airbus-China working relationship:
China to take part in Airbus A350 design and manufacture

Quote:
BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I) and China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II) will undertake the design and manufacture of Airbus' newest aircraft, the A350, after joining the Airbus engineering center.

Personal opinion: I viewed the transfer some A320 production to China as a virtual certainty. However, the A350 design seems to be a new issue. Can anyone verify?

Was that really necessary? If you tried to be funny, you're not. Making jokes of childlabor is as bad as participating in organizing it.  no
