After 2 incredible concerts here in Sao Paulo, U2 took off from GRU this afternoon. Globo television network briefly showed the band's plane as it took off. Does anybody know the type of jet or have pics?

I remember back in 2001 they used a Privatair 737-700, and in 2005 an Air Canada A320 and a few others here and there but not sure what they were using recently.

Well, I meant from GRU but that is a hot pic and is the plane. I did a search and found several from the Elevation tour as well. Thanks!

There was a period of time this past fall when U2 wasn't using the plane (I think they were using a smaller plane for a series of dates close to each other). Anyway, U2 relinquished the A320 temporarily and handed it back to Air Canada. Lo and behold, said A320 showed up at Manchester, New Hampshire when the Toronto Raptors of the NBA used the plane to fly here for an exhibition game against the Boston Celtics at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

One of my friends from the MHT Yahoo Group took a couple pictures of her while at MHT. I'll see if I can locate them.

I think they used a Bae-146 for their European tour.
