Busy day for Airbus and the A320 series. Jagson Airlines have confirmed an order for 14 firm plus 6 Leased A321a as reported earlier this year.

Feb. 23 -- Jagson Airlines, India's first private airline, today announced that it had firmed up plans to purchase 20 Airbus A321 aircraft at an estimated value of approximately $1.3 billion for its National Carrier operations.

Jagson Airlines will fly as a National Carrier covering nine cities by the end of 2006, with the inaugural flight between Delhi and Bangalore in April/May. The discussions with Airbus were held at the ongoing Singapore Air Show and the financing modalities are being worked out.

I think Bangalore (BLR, VOBG) is a lucky charm that every LCC wants to fly their first plane.
