WREX posted on their website today and briefly talked about it on their news, but according to their statement, RFD may have reached a deal with another airline.

Anyone have any ideas what it might be?
Or where it flies?

They quoted it as "high-level".

It wouldn't surprise me if it was FL.

You really think so? Any reason why? They'd obviously then have flights to ATL.

Sounds like it might be a "buy-one get-one" deal...if FL is going to announce service to RFD, DL will almost certainly send a couple CRJ-200s as well. It'd be nice, though not realistic, to see DL 732 or 738 service, but even if they only send CRJs, I'd still be able to fly out of an airport with free parking! I'd love to see some cheap routes on DL from RFD-CVG-BNA or RFD-ATL-BNA, so I wouldn't have to take American Eagle out of ORD through STL to get a <$400 ticket to Nashville.

IT could be delta, they would offer connections to Florida cities and the east coast, which is what RFD has had in mind...now that they have UAX connecting RFD to western part of US.

Hi All,

I hope Delta Comes to RFD. I am right on between ORD and RFD so either airport works for me.

As a side note...

I know that Frontier used to fly to RFD back in 1985. I have a timetable and can give more details later.

They served these Cities Non-Stop:

Cedar Rapids
Denver
Madsion
Milwaukee

UA hasn't started yet. Their first flight is next friday March 3. So far, their ticket sales are a little above avg for United. So that is a good thing.

I have a feeling it might be service to US Airways Express / America West to PHX or Delta Connection to ATL or MCO? PHX is a destination RFD has wanted for a while and I know RFD wants routes / connections to Florida cities.
