Hi guys !!

Just come back from Prague yesterday, just went for the day...
I was going as staff so I couldnt take my camera but I thought Id just briefly share with you how amazing they were.

Firstly I was in Business class and they are the only carrier on shorthaul routes, that I know of, with such a great customer service.. they provided table linen, metal cutlery, hot rolls with fresh danish pastry's and we also had a large fruit salad with our omlette and hash browns (GOOD hash browns !)

The staff were amazingly polite and friendly and PRG was a breeze to go through with efficient customs and immigration..and their is so much space !!

Returning I was in Economy and honestly, their was no difference .. well, ok we didnt have table linen or metal cutlery but the hot meal in the evening was delicious and there was a lot of it..we arrived on time back at BHX ...
If only a little saddened that now OK are pulling out of BHX.

I have to give full respect to OK, They are building a great airline and if they continue with service like I experienced they will start putting BA etc to shame !!

Anyone know if OK are looking at fleet replacements for the 310's ?

Yes, they are looking at leasing A330-200s. Won't be surprised if they'd get A350-800s down the road...

It would make sense for them to do so. They already have some A320s and some ex- AC A321's, if I remember correctly. Some there A310s are GE CF6 powered some or maybe one is PW, so I think the A330 would be perfect for them.

I've only herd good things about CSA! Apperently even their long-haul economy class is way above the standard.

I posted a trip report for MAN-PRG with CSA last year, and I agree the service was second to none - how mainstream airlines should be. Great service, and none of this buy on board rubbish!

My sister flew them a few months ago from Tel Aviv to New York via Prague and said that the food was "terrible." They also fly relatively old A310s on the long distance routes.

how was their on time performance?

I recently flew BA from LHR-PRG roundtrip and was severly disappointed.

But I only chose BA b/c I had heard that CSA had poor time performances.

Dont know how true that is but I will ahve to try them in the future.

What does their entire fleet consist of? small airbuses?

I have always wanted to fly JFK-PRG with OK. I hope I have the opportunity to do that in the not so distant future. BHXDTW, I am very glad that you enjoyed your flight. Were your flights on A320's?

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

Hi.

I flew CSA long haul few years ago. More precisely, I flew Zagreb-Prague onboard 737-500 (superb economy service, polite and friendly flight attendants, food was ok, one even got Pepsi 0,33 cans) and then with TU154 to Dubai with a stopover in Larnaca. On our way back we flew with Airbus A-310 from Dubai via Bahrain to Prague and with 737-500 to Zagreb.

Service was better on 737s then on A310 or Tupolev. On longer flights food wasn't that tasty, once even cold, and things like "toillet out of order" kept appearing on all but on one. So imagine how long one had to wait...

But CSA is a great airline for sure. I like then a lot.

 Smile

Great you had a good experience with OK. Yes, they are thinking to replace the A310 by either the A350 or the B787. Order may be expected this year.
Yes, they are a great airline, with one of the best services in Europe, too bad they still have that stupid A310, since the cabin confort there is inferior to any other European airline.
Again, good you had such a nice experience.
