Hey all,
I'm looking for a trip from the Netherlands to Budapest this summer. Both SkyEurope and Wizzair offer competitive fares ex AMS. I heard rumours about disappointing loadfactors on Wizzair, despite its very low fares, they also reduced service already.
Which airline do you consider to be safe to book by now for travelling in August?

I flew SkyEurope last summer BUD-AMS, it was on a 735, I speak English, therefore did not understand a word of the pre-flight announcements, but it was safe, running late and cramped, but safe and cheap for sure.

I've flown many times with Sky Europe and they are very nice. I'm booked on Wizz to go to Croatia in June..so i really hope they're still around I think they will be. Certainly Sky Europe has been around quite a while now.
Personally i would chose on price, they are both fine and Sky Europe feels a lot less of a LCC than say ryanair. As for the pre-flight anouncements on Sky Europe I've found them to be fine and the staff are friendly.

I found Wizz air is much better than BMI and certainly better than any US airline.
There planes are new, clean and modern. Their buy on board hot sandwiches are much better than British Airway's yesterday made slice of meat on a bun offerings.
Dunno about Sky Europe but Wizz air is going to be tough competition for Ryanair in the future as theyve expanded all across Eastern Europe and have got their market lead.
So far in 2008 45 flights and Gold already. JFK, IAD, LGA, SIN, HKG, NRT, AKL, PPT, LAX still to book ! Home Airport LCY

I think they will be. Certainly Sky Europe has been around quite a while now.
