I know there is another topic going on right now about the new DL Summer Schedule with Song cutbacks. Last week I purchased a one way LAS-JFK (DL 2061) for May 14. This morning I was trying to get a couple of my friends on the same flight but this flight isn't showing up ANY availability on delta.com or any other website - the flight isn't even listed. According to OAG the flight is still listed on the route for that date but I'm not relying on that.
There is a flight leaving LAS at 0700 for JFK nonstop? Have they retimed it?
Before calling reservations (which I'm not very optimistic on being very helpful given the outsourcing and previous experience) I'd like to have an idea what to expect. I'm flying into LAS on Friday morning on B6 and want to leave Sunday night on a redeye. If in fact the redeye no longer operates will they give me a refund?

They've changed the time. It's something like 5:50 PM now. Don't recall the flight number. Check DL's flight schedules, and call reservations. Chances are you won't get India, but either way you have no choice but to call to get your new seats, and the flight times changed on your itinerary. Did it this morning...even on the Medallion line it took almost 40 minutes to get the whole process done!!!

I called the Skymiles Reservation number and got someone in India who was very uncooperative. Eventually I was passed to a "supervisor" and I really found it difficult to understand him. I don't think he was a supervisor and was just another CSA. He only offered to put me on the new LAS-JFK leaving LAS 0800am and arriving JFK in the afternoon. 8am vs. 1130pm is A BIG difference especially if you're only in Vegas from Friday to Sunday night!
Since he wouldn't route me any other way he finally passed me back to the States where I got a real nice guy named Ricky to help me out. On offer is:
1. Cancellation w/o penalty - ticket value valid one year from date of issue.
2. Rebooking on other DL flights.
This is a trip for a wedding for me and it's costing me $300 a night at the Wynn, plus air so it's pricey. Sure, I'd use the credit on a Shuttle to DCA eventually but it would still mean I'd have to expend another $149-$170 now to get back from LAS. So, I took a rebooking on LAS-BOS leaving LAS @10pm arriving BOS 555am. Will then change to a flight leaving BOS 0645am to JFK at 0800. Basically it's leaving an hour earlier and getting in an hour later. Not ideal but could be a lot worse. On the upside I've got an exit row LAS-BOS . . . . Not too concerned about missed connection in BOS if the inbound is late since I now hold a Y class ticket they'd probably just put me on the Shuttle to LGA.
I just wish I had waited another week before booking but c'est le vie.

When you get India, ask for the reissues department.
