Hi all,
I just flew from RNO to ATL and the 757 had leather seats and an all new interior. The seat number panels were new and it looked sorta like the song interior just navy blue. Does anyone know what this is?

This is Delta's new domestic interior minus PTVs (which will be going online over the next year in the 757s).
I did hear however the mods on the -88s are being stopped as there were too many write-ups on the new interior birds, not sure what truth there is...someone from Delta can clear it up.

I was on one of the remodeled MD88 (N982DL)... looked pretty good with the navy blue leather seats.

From Delta.com. I've been on a few 88's that have the new interior and it looks really good. I'm sure others can get much better pics than these though...

So far, these new interiors have been done on some MD-88s, 757-200s, and domestic 767-300s. I have also heard somewhere that some MD-90s were done as well.
Why aren't there any photos of the new interiors for the 757s and domestic 767-300s? I have flown on one of the 757s with the new interior, but it is strange how none are loaded.

What I mean is that there's a rumor going around the mods on the MD88 a/c have been temporarily stopped as QC measures weren't being met...again, just what an F/A mentioned. Could be unfounded...
Quoting 1337Delta764 (Reply 6): I have also heard somewhere that some MD-90s were done as well.
Some MD90s are in fact done. Was on one MSY-CVG in November...they're comfy birds. the MD90 seems wider to me than the -88 even though they're the same...

I flew on two of them this past summer, ORD-SLC and SLC-ORD. Both with new blue leather seats.

The rumor about the 88 mods is wrong. True we aren't doing 88's on the dedicated mod line right now. The line only does one type at a time. Right now they are doing 738's. They are also doing the ex-shuttle to mainline conversion for this type. The mod line is only going to do the aircraft that will not be in for a Heavy Overhaul in the near future. I think we have done about half of the 88 fleet. The rest will get done as they come up for overhaul.

Thanks for the clarity DALMD88 - interesting that they're redoing the 738s already - non shuttle a/c too?
What do the new F seats look like on the 757 and 738?
Also - why no winged headrests? They more than make up for the lack of pillows...

The F seats look the same on the 757 and I'm sure on the 738. Winged headrests? Not sure, but I'm sure it would be nice to have. I never used them, but would certainly be nicer to have, I'm sure.
I have been on the MD-88's, 757's, and 763's with them and they are nice, although when it comes to FC, I prefer the old leather and cloth seats. They were just a little more plush when you sat down.

Otto - they're great when they're the solid/firm ones. I wasn't too impressed with the version on the 764 fleet, they seemed less hmm rigid (wouldn't hold in place) but it could have been just the seats I was seated in.

They were a little more comfortable, but that could be a result of age. Hopefully as the leather seats get a little more 'used,' they'll be just as comfy.

Since January I have been on DL's M88 with the new interior on all 5 of my M88 segments and on 2 of my 3 763 segments. I find the new seats to be comfortable in coach and the 763 in F class last weekend was very comfortable. They would be nicer though if they had the wing backed head rests.

That's my biggest gripe about Delta's retrofit. I love the winged headrests when I experienced them on my Continental flights.
Oh well no biggie in the end I guess, my loyalty is to Delta either way.

I would but since every other airline is perfect, I have to fly on the only one that has imperfections! What would I bitch about otherwise?
However, Otto - while on the bandwagon, I wish they would bring back the Cheese on Wheat Lance crackers instead of the current Grilled Cheese lance crackers. Altho, like everyone I was happy to see "Biscoff is back, and bigger than ever!"
