Whatever happened to Continental's A300s? Seems they would've been useful for high-density medium-range routes that the airline is capitalizing on today with only 757s and 737-800s flying them.
Why'd they dispose of what seemed to be an essential fleet of reliable airplanes?

Hi there, you are probably thinking of American. All of Continental's A300s are out of service. They now operate no Airbus aircraft.

CO retired all A300 aircraft by early 1996. These aircraft were too big, expensive to maintain, and VERY unreliable.
