Yes, there will be a movie, plus short programming. ie CBS Eye on American and Everybody Loves Raymond., both of which AA just keep running and running.

I've been on it. What can I say? It wasn't anything special.

I can not imagine being crammed in a 737 for a transcon flight! I prefer the room of a widebody on long-haul flights. Being stuck in such a narrow tube for such a long time, I WOULD GO CRAZY! I would book myself out of the way or through a hub to avoid being on a narrow body transcon flight!

I took this flight last month. It is a little cramped especially because they are having loads of better than 90%. I would look for an upgrade to a 757 or even a 762 in the future.
AA's 737NG seems more crowded than US or UA's 737 services.

Well, I flew it about a year ago, before the More Room In Coach, and it was fine. In response to Bobo2196, it's no the pitch is no different than an AA/UA widebody.

Pitch is very important indeed on a transcon flight but being on a widebody gives you a more open and spacious feeling, so you arent so cramped...
In the american publics eyes, long flights are usually associated with widebodies (747,767,something big). When they get to the airport and see a dinky little thing (the 738 isnt all that dinky), the first thought that goes through their mind is "i'm going to be in that little thing for how many hours?" The same thing applies to commuter flights, most people go out of their way to avoid commuters. Their next transcon will probably be on something bigger, if you know what i mean.
