As BBC reports, a British Airways Concorde enroute from London to New York had to be diverted to the airport of Gander, Canada yesterday morning. Passengers in the rear of the cabin smelled a strange odor of fuel and immediately informed the cabin crew. The cockpit crew decided to make an emergency landing in Gander.
The 60 passengers aboard BA003 could continue their trip by a chartered Boeing 737 later on.

In response to Daryl (N754pr)
Is it newsworthy that a jet, as complex and different as Concorde, has an unscheduled landing less than one week after the first fatal crash of the same type craft?
I think so.
