Why Is NWA Parking So Many Aircraft?

NW has been adding more and aircraft to Marana - Pinal Airpark. I was always under the impression that if they stopped moving they stop making money?

Because they are in serious financial trouble and are parking the aircraft that the leases have expired on, or they've worked out a deal with the company that owns the leases to park the. Yes, several are in new colors but that has no bearing on this decisions.
