A Dakota fly in will be organised by the Dutch Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome at Lelystad airport the Netherlands on May 27, 28 2006.
10 to 13 DC3's(C47) are expected with entries from: The Netherlands, England, Germany, France, Hungary(Lisunov Li-2), Denmark and Norway.
A few others are pending.
If weather permits a formation flight with the whole lot will be performed on Saturday.
Hopefully the worlds one and only airworthy DC2 will be ready as well.

Wow! I wish I could be there (and to come back to beautiful Holland). I have pictures of some of these planes at a 1985 fly-in, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Dakota/Gooney. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago....
70 years and still going strong! Fly on, silver bird!

It's 27 and 28 of May Chris not March.
I know they would like to come but had some issue's to deal with, haven't heard the outcome yet but I will ask about it.

each hour there are 4 trains going from schiphol airport to "Lelystad" (1 hour trip)
from there take bus #148 to lelystad airport (10 minutes)

Yes Joost, one of the DDA Dak's will be available for sightseeing flights.
Maybe a few others too but at this moment I don't have that info.
