Hi, My name is Philip and I'm helping to restore a Lockheed 1649A Constellation Starliner at the Sanford, Florida airport. All four Curtis Wright R-3350 engines are now running and most of the Starliner has been painted. High speed taxi tests should take place by September and the aircraft should be ready for her ferry flight shortly after that. We would welcome anyone who wishes to see or take pictures of the aircraft and/or get involved in helping during the restoration. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. If interested please check out the web site: www.Starliner.net or call us in Florida at 407-688-1198. Maurice Roundy is the owner of Maine Coast Airways, which has, so far, managed to save these beautiful aircraft from the scrap heap. Thanks for your interest!

Just out of curiousity...have the Sav-a-connie folks up here at the Downtown airport in KC lent a helping hand? I take my kids out there to see their 404 and Connie a lot. They have quite a spare parts store, and most of the people there worked on TWA connies.
