Just a quick question regarding CO's 753's. The exit row seats, row 34 specifically, are said to have the door slide that protrudes in front of the person sitting in 34F. Does anybody know how bad it is and will it be bothersome for a nearly 4 hour flight? Also, the tray tables that are in the armrests, do they seriously reduce the width of the seat or is it very minimal? Thanks!

I haven't flown on CO's 753s but I personally do not like bulkhead seats because of the reduced seat width due to putting the tray table in the armrest.

I have flown on countless CO 737-300/500's and the exit row window seats (with no seat in-front) have the tray table in the armrest and I don't notice a real difference. However, on UA 777's the emergency slide sticks out quite a bit in front of the person sitting at the window and was curious is CO's was also like this on the 753.

On US Airways' 757s, I almost always sit in an exit row when flying coach, and usually it's a window seat. The door slide won't affect you much, if at all. It's worth moving your feet six inches to the right to get all of that extra room to stretch. I say take the seat.

Hardly at all. It appears you have flown a door exit row before. The decrease in seat width is minimal

It isn't bad at all. I sat in the exit row window of a CO 753 in 2004 and it was really comfortable

There is a big difference between the overwing exit seats and the exit door seats and that's where my question came into play. It sounds like it will be okay, but the way it was originally put to me was that in row 34 the emergency exit door slide protruded quite a bit in front of the person sitting in 34F.

The slide pack on the emergency door (3L&R) does not protrude as much as the slide pack on the other doors. It's worth it to take the seat.

I've heard the seats are ok, but the oonly times I have taken the 753 were EWR-LAS, EWR-FLL, and IAH-MCO, but it was all in BusinessFirst
