ZE has uploaded to the systems it's new flights:
ZE 500 PBC-MTY 07:20 08:40 B737
ZE 500 MTY-JFK 09:40 15:00 B737
ZE 501 JFK-MTY 16:30 19:50 B737
ZE 501 MTY-PBC 20:40 22:00 B737
Flights will be flown 2X on 2 and 4. AM is currently flying 3X from MTY on 1,3,5. When they reinstalled the flights they said they were keeping them only if new competitors appear on scene.
OTOH, on Saturdays ZE will launch TLC-HMO flights. But I see no return flights! Nor how ZE will fly in order to get it's 737 to TLC.
6A's return to JFK if they also decide to go MTY-JFK soon it's going to be hard!
Weird things going on at several airports and airlines!

It is 2900km MTY-JFK.
Since the flights are loaded ZE has obviously done their homework, but,
MTY is at 390m above sea level. Not that high, equivalent to LAS or PHX. (actually LAS is a bit higher in elevation...)
Will that produce a weight penalty? I'm thinking of a typical summer day in MTY when the temperature sits at around 35 degrees.
Good thing these flights don't go to JFK nonstop from PBC! They'd never make it!
Is there a better website for Azteca? This one I have, never seems to work right. http://azteca.cubika.com/index.html only has GDL-MEX for flight choices....

Ouch for 6A, seems like Azteca has taken this route away from them. If 6A had gotten aircraft with a longer range I'm sure they would be the ones opening this route. The latest 6A can jump on this route would be sometime next year as thats when the third carrier out MTY would go into effect(I need to corrected on this if I'm wrong).
Azteca needs to get a real network going here, instead of adding routes here and there.

Yes, it is interesting that AM is retreating when they should be doing the opposite. Daily MTY-JFK service from AM would be awesome... I sure would not mind flying to TLC-MTY-JFK-MTY-TLC with 5D and AM

I mean, if the new flight is mainly catering to business travellers, I tend to think that 2, 3, or even 4 x weekly would be very insufficient to cope with corporate traffic demand. If OTOH this new operation is tapping the low yield leisure or ethnic segments, well, it might as well work very well. I don´t know.
In any case, from the financial perspective, I think ZE is venturing itself into a costly and very risky business with this new operation.

Aviacsa has a 1X daily flight with 732.

They're LCC, but about them serving meals and stuff I don't know. Maybe someone can fill us on this.

They start this cumming Saturday, that s 2 days from now.No previous announcement of any kind.
Besides the Big hangar, no place yet for check-in in the under-construction airport.

Well, sure a lot of mystery seen with ZE. ZE's people are the only persons that understand their business model... but, as we speak, finally its new destinations have been launched to their site. TLC, PBC and JFK have just appeared.
Apparently they will fly MEX-TLC-HMO-TIJ-MEX and MEX-PBC-MTY-JFK-PBC-MEX. They're also considering MEX-ONT-MEX. Lots new flights, sure some frequencies reduction in other destinations as at least as of now, no new aircraft have entered the fleet.
