Some of the info from CNN Text:

EADS expected 39 % rise in net profit lifted by record delivery at its Airbus unit and a € 289 Mln accounting boost.

It made a net profit of $2 Bln from $1,2 in 2004...

Great news for EADS. Would be even better if they weren't quite so dependent on Airbus though.

Here's a link to the EADS press release.

http://www.eads.com/web/lang/en/1024...F00000000400004/6/03/31000036.html

Airbus EBIT up from E 1.919Bn to E 2.307Bn ($2.83Bn at 1.23$/E)

Airbus operating margin up from 9.5% to 10.4%.
A great result, although in mid 2005 it looked as if it could be even better.
Presumably less favourable $ hedging was one factor.

Congrats to Airbus - "giving away" airframes seems to be a good business  Smile

Nice spin on the fact that EADS had a 13% drop in net profit.

For the 4th quarter, perhaps, but year-on-year net profit is up 39%. (E1.67Bn vs E1.2Bn).
