They've been critisized and critisized and critisized. Even though they are becoming to be the worst airline delays and so on, they are a good airline. I think that they will get their act together soon. I'm sure you'll agree with me FLY777UAL. Anyway, I have had very good experiences on United, in fact, the best airline experience I've had was this year in a United 747-200 from SFO-HNL. They were going to charge us for the headphones, but then they gave them out free. Very good movies on United. Flight attendants were very nice and gave all the service anyone needed. The pilots were very nice in letting me see the cockpit, as were the flight attendants. I'm sure that they will get organized soon, give them some time. I will always be a customer of United. I hope to fly them a fews times next year. Anyway, United is a very good airline, stop calling them Untied and give them a break. Thy will improve.

I agree, my dad flies United alot on long and short flights and he is a Milage Plus member, and he loves United. most of the time his flights are not delayed or late, as his US Airways flights usually are, and they have very good service according to him.

It is so nice to hear that some people really like United!   Thank You!
I have had mostly good experiences on United, so good that my parents even got a bottle of wine from the time that we had Business Class going from SFO-IAD. Go U N I T E D!

Always fly U N I T E D

LGW,

If you don't think United should be praised, then just don't respond! Please let people have their opinions!

In the topic "I booked my first 777 flight!", you said:

"What do you want, a medal?

LOADS OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ON B777`s DONT GET TO EXCITED!"

Hell, I would be excited. I have yet to fly on a 777, but when I book my first flight on one, I would be very excited too!

Once again, let people have their opinions.

Rgds,

B744

I agree with B744.Of course people would be excited if it was their first ride on the certain aircraft.Well, I love UA very much, and I quite like their service.Their planes are quite clean, and much better than AA.I would like to request the webmaster to ban LGW from the forums.

Alas, we meet again, fighting airline intolerance on the front lines. UA is a good airline. Look at their customers...mainly buisness travellers who demand great service. Passengers understand late flights, bad weather, and cancellations, it's par for the course. UA will be just fine. I just hope they don't take over US. Just thought I'd throw that out there to get you guys arguing about something else.

United is great! So what if there are delays? Evey airline gets them. United just gets picked on because they are the largest and the best!   With SFO being their hub, they get fog, SO WHAT? American, US Airways, Alaska, TWA, ATA, Delta, America West, SouthWest, and many international carriers fly out of SFO. They ALL get fog delays! Every Airline has its own share of delays. Did I mention that AA had a 48 hour delay of ft 39?
United is the best !

Always fly U N I T E D

Type in some flights into the flight status box on the UAL homepage and you will see that a lot of them are late. Not that I hate United, in fact I love them and would love to see them improve on the issue of late flights so as to shed their growing reputation for that.

How long are the flights delayed? who cares if the flights are delayed 5 mins or late by 7 mins. It doesn`t really matter. But, If htey are 20 mins late or something like that, then that is not good at all.

Again folks, UA's recent spat of delays have more to do with the Pilots' slowdown, Mechanics' contract, and something involving the Customer Service employees, than with the attitude of the company ie., management. Those three groups are disguntled and it's all occurring simultaneously. Thus, delays, cancelled flights, and rude CSRs are to be expected during these types of airline labor problems.

Anyway, it seems really bizarre that the only place that I sense so much disdain for UA is from Airliners.net (oh yeah, and also from the residents of Denver). Am I the only one who sees this? Certainly, when the "average Joe" American public thinks of "bad" airlines, United isn't the first to come to mind. Here in New York, passengers seem to still hold UA in high regard. Chicago pax seem proud of their "hometown" airline. Californians have embraced United Shuttle from the start (if load factors have been any indication). I KNOW plenty of Europeans are obviously enjoying UA because such a high percentage of them are ALWAYS on my transcontinental flights to California smiling, chatting, and eager to begin their "holiday" in S.F, L.A, or Hawaii.

All of my flights are still filled to the gills with business travellers, many of whom seem to understand the airline business and UA's culture better than some participants here!

In short, I don't think UA is in need of sympathy yet. True, delays are happening more than usual. But the company is simply too resilient to become another AWA.

Let's just let the labor problems die, then it'll be back to business as usual.

Some were more than 15 min. late, which, please correct me if I'm wrong, is considered to be "late" by the FAA. Again, without doubt every airline does have problems occasionally and just because of one it shouldn't be condemned.
