Are all the planned 8 717s now in service with Qantaslink? When will Jetstar retire the last 717 and where will the remaining 6 go?
Thanks

I believe the leases on the remaining 6 aircraft will be terminated...I have no sources so dont quote me on it...Hopefully an insider can shed some light...

I am sure they will find a home with Airtran assuming the lease rates are reasonable. If not perhaps Midwest might like a few more. However I thought the 717'S were going Qantas Link. Has this changed?

All 8 Ex-Impulse 717 are with Qantaslink/NJS. According to Australian Aviation one of Jetstar's ex TWA 717's has been stored (could be VH-VQF??) Jetstar states they will have an all Airbus fleet from mid 2006 so I'm unsure about the other 5 although I read somewhere that Qantaslink/NJS may take more 717's if they need them but personally i doubt it. I hope they get a new home and not all stored it seems like such a waste for a relatively new airframe.

Why is one Jetstar 717 stored, because of an accident or what?
Thanks
