Apparently a few were leased to GA during Hajj & painted in revised livery.

Have these aircraft been returned to QF? Or ?

no, current QF timetable to BOM shows 333 with 1 stop.

Specifically aircraft GA leased VH-EBX & VH-EBV - r they back in QF fleet, ie. repainted with red rat on tail?

yeh but industry knows them as red rat airlines or apology airlines. I guess with engineering be exported to China then more maintenance problems r heading their way.

Simpilicity,

Granted.

I was just stating the obvious.

As for heavy maintenance going to China, well not ......... yet.

As it stands, heavy maintenance on the 330's is already being done in Zurich, not to many seem to complain about that. 380's will probably be done at a joint facility with SQ, how many will complain about that ??

u need to read between the lines ( spin ).

Unfortunately, many jobs WILL go to China, but QF did not want to announce that as well as yesterdays announcement.

They'll break it to the unions slowly after the further reviews.

I reckon it's a done deal.

However, isn't there a shortage of LAME's in OZ? Maybe the ex QF LAME's will just have to settle for less money working for someone else?

Over the Australian Winter Qantas will be running the 743 between Sydney and Perth

Over the Commonwealth Games and the Melbourne Grand Prix extra services between SYD and MEL will be performed by the 743

Once a week on the weekend a SYD-CHC is performed by the 743.

Have a closer look it's in the Galileo timetable !!

For the record, I flew 2 weeks ago on EBX HNL/SYD in Biz Class. A lovely way to spend a day, in the Dreamtime seats, IMO the world's best biz class seats of the non-extending variety, and way more comfortable than the Skybeds, which I thoroughly loathe...like trying to sleep on a park bench!

From cabin shots here on A.net, I think LanChile use the same Dreamtime seat.
