Meridiana Airlines To Order EMB-190's

Meridiana Airlines of Italy is to order Embraer EMB-190's to replace it's MD-80's.

It's still not known how many 190's will be ordered.

Meridiana currently has a fleet of:
4 - A319's
9 - MD-82's
8 - MD-83's

Will the 190's replace both of the 82's and 83's?

I would like to see the airline order more Airbus A32S  Smile

I thought that the A319s were used exclusively out of Florence with its short runway. The A319 and Avros are pretty much the only jets that can fly out of that airport in the hills with its short runway with a mountain on one side of it.

Not in the extreme sense. They are an ok airline. I flew them once, and the cabin crew was partially on strike. Overall they weren't that great, but were ok.
