By now, JetBlue's innaugural JFK-Rochester flight will have come and gone, marking the debut of scheduled Airbus service to ROC. I'm going to the airport after work to catch the 5:55 arrival. It's about time!

Are you living in Rochester?

That's too late for me because I moved back to Hong Kong already. Usually I would take photo beside runway 22/04. The air fare in Rochester is tooooooo expensive for us. I am hoping jetBlue will doing great in US and give us low fare and best service. The following photos which I took in Rochester.

Ryan, I've always appreciated your photos. I'll try to get some of the JetBlue A320 and post them.

Hey LHMark, I noticed that they were constructing a new Jetbridge with a sign on it with "jetBlue" on it. It was shaped slightly differently than the other Jetbridges at ROC and was in a different (a darker specifically) shade of gray, and was located on the left side of Concourse A. Was this Jetbridge built because the other Jetbridges cannot accomodate the A320?

Not sure TU. The parking lines on the tarmac at ROC have position markings for 727s, 737s, DC-9's, and 757s. Presumably, any jetway that can handle a 757 can deal with an A320. (Of course, we never get 757s.) I'll try to find out something definite.

How was the spotting trip?  Did you catch the jetBlue arrival, and if so, which aircraft (ie, registration) was it?

BTW, sometime ago I thought you said that we don't get any 737-400's. Well at somewhere I saw them on a flight schedule of flights in/out of ROC and I myself saw one about a month ago in US Airways colors, with the 2 overwing exits.

From the following photos which I took in ROC, US Airway does use the Boeing 737-400 for here.

Aug. 30th I am going on leave, back home to Rochester. To bad I am flying into Buffalo. I got a roundtrip ticket from SMF to BUF for $198. That beats $460 or so to ROC. I got lucky finding a good fare like that. Either way, I will have to make a trip or two to Rochester International, to get a few pics. Its still my hometown airport, and I miss it! I would have flown home on Jetblue out of Oakland, but I got the cheaper fare out of the much closer SMF.
