Hi! I was wondering if we should do something special for having 100,000 pictures here. Right now we're at 95,000. i have no clue what to do, but I think we should do something.

Take some of the best of the best shots and display them prominently on the homepage of the website, as well as the 100,000th photo? Or perhaps we could do what Blink182 suggested

I think we should do something with the 100,000th picture too. We'll definetly have to do something for the 1,000,000th (when ever that might be).

We should celebrate one of the best run web sites on the planet, and go for 200,000 pix!

Current "top" database # : 99,816
Current uploads in the backlog : ±1,100
Only 184 photos to go ....
So, #100,000 has already been uploaded, and will be added to the database as soon as Johan gets back from his hardware acquisition trip.
Can't wait to see whose it will be. I've asked Johan whether he'll be letting it be "luck of the draw" or whether that entry will be reserved for someone, but he's staying silent on the matter for the moment ....
BTW, as Gary (Granite) will know, the uploads admin page doesn't actually show what number on the database an approved photo will get, so working it so a particular photo makes it as a particular database entry # could be quite tricky.
Good luck to all of you who sent in uploads around Tuesday ... I reckon one of you will get it.

I don't normally frequent this paticular forum, but AirNikon did get number 100,000. I believe that he deserves it, he is one of the best photographers around, and has been at Airliners from the beginning.

If anyone deserved it, it would be AirNikon, as he has submitted the most pics to this site, and as Nikonman stated, he has been here since the beginning.
