I flew out of ATL Thursday night (missing the majority of those storms thank goodness!). Anyway, while we were taxiing before takeoff, I noticed a PanAm 727 parked at one of the gates (all white with the PanAm lettering in baby blue). Was the pre-flight sleeping pill messing with me??  Smile

I believe the reincarnated Pan Am flies from ATL to SFB (Orlando area), do you know what gate it was? probably the D gates.

Pan Am Clipper Connection has been doing charter flights for Vacation Express, and also offers ATL-SFB service (Three times a week service [Mondays, Fridays, & Saturdays]) as well.

Well the D concouse is really the only place that has common gates that can be used for charters or infrequent flights.

They operate the Cancun flights for Vacation Express into E concourse where they'll RON, and push over to D concourse in the morning (on the days they're operating morning flights to SFB).

BTW - they've been operating the scheduled ATL-SFB flights since 10FEB.

I've been seeing that puppy over in the north cargo terminal. What is it doing there? Usually they park the remote aircraft that RON over in front of the Renny hotel (AA's 738's/MD-83's) can be spotted there.

Pan Am will usually RON their a/c on E concrouse on Thu night and will keep it on D on Fri and Sat. Since they usually do alot of charter work in between, they'll park a bird up at North Cargo near World and Omni. The second shot I posted is up there.

Pan Am hasn't parked anthing up by the Rennaisance yet.....just North Cargo if they're not on the gates overnight.

What gates did DH use in ATL? I looked for them last time I was in ATL, just a few days after the shutdown and could not find them, but will be there again this Thursday and have LOTS of time to kill between connections and would like to see where they were and whats going on with them now....
