Hi Everyone,

I was very shocked today. After looking at a Delta Seat Map from 1985 and looking at the airlines website I realized that many aircraft carried the same number of PAX then as now. A few actually carried more in 1985. What is that all about? I thought that they carried more now and stuffed us in like sardines more today?

Did all airlines have more seats back then, or did DL just never add extra seats since?

The AA MD80 today only carries 129, but in 1985 it carried 146, at least according to this site:
