In 1977 I flew JNB-LHR on British Airways to attend my grandfather's funeral. The aircraft we flew on was a 747, the first one with RR RB211 engines. There was also a little plaque on the bulkhead commemorating the fact that this aircraft held the record for the highest weight takeoff of a commercial airliner at the time.
I know we have some history buffs on here so here are the questions:
What was the registration?
What happened to the aircraft after British Airways?
After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

There are only 3 RR powered 747 delivered in 1977:
1: The one mentioned above
2: G-BDXB 21239/302 from 2 nov 1999 Nigeria AW; 3 aug 2000 back BA.
Stored for the moment.
3: G-BDXC 21240/305 from 8 feb 2002 European Aircharter.
Scrapped at Cardiff 18 aug 2002.
