Living on the Isle of Wight my nearest airport is SOU and BOU. On September the 9th I have to travel to Stirling in Scotland to start university. I am flying by air as being an a.netter is the thing to do. However, I don't just want a straight forward SOU-EDI/GLA flight but something that goes via another airport. I need to arrive into GLA or EDI at around 2 in the afternoon. Any ideas will be greatly recieved. However, not too many expensive flights though guys.

Cheers.

I was gonna say Ryanair 738 BOH-PIK then train, with a change in Glasgow.
You could do BA SOU-MAN, MAN-EDI/GLA

My initial thought was "AB via PAD" but the flight out of BOH leaves too late in the afternoon in September.
Anyway: Have a good time "up north" in Stirling.

I found the following one way fares with BA:

British Airways (Operated by BA Connect)
BA7731
Depart:
Southampton (SOU) 08:30 19SEP06
Arrive:
Manchester (MAN) 09:35 19SEP06

C O N N E C T I N M A N C H E S T E R

British Airways (Operated by BA Connect)
BA1872
Depart:
Manchester (MAN) 12:35 19SEP06
Arrive:
Glasgow (GLA) 13:35 19SEP06

-----------------------------------------------------
Total £ 40.30*
Including alltaxes and charges

*Fare quoted from ba.com

That is a bargain if you ask me! I know you didn't want to go direct, but if
you did the price for SOU-GLA is £24.80 including taxes and charges...even cheaper!

SOU-DUB-EDI on BE/FR comes to about 40, and the DUB flight arrives at EDI at 2pm!
Then Stirling is only 25-30mins down the road!

SOU-AGP-GLA on BE and EZY  Smile

SOU-AGP = 89.99, departing at 0635 arriving at 1025.

AGP-GLA = 65.19, departing at 1215 arriving 1440.

So 155.18 for SOU-AGP-GLA, not bad  Smile

Cheers for all the replys. Depending on budget I think I might try the loganair route.
Eastern airways prices are far to high I'm afraid.

One thing that surprised me is that a flight from BOU-PRESTWICK ON FR is £37.47 yet with BA Connect from SOU to GLA is only £24.80. It seems FR isn't always that cheap!!
