Is CO524 A Domestic Or Intl Config 757?

Hi All,

I was just wondering if CO524 (CLE-EWR) on May 15 is going to be (or is usually) a domestic or international configured 757?

If I'm not mistaken its the same aircraft that files LGW-CLE... so it would make sense to me that it was an international config.

Regardless of the answer to that question, anything I should keep my eyes out for that would be different than the 737s that it seems like all of my flying is done on these days?*

I think I've read something about CO rolling out new IFE on some of the 757s--any chance that this would be one of them?

Also, what are the chances of a lowly silver elite getting an upgrade?

* In fact, the once daily 752 flight is at the least convenent time of all of CO's daily CLE-EWR runs but the fact that it's more exotic than my normal 738 or ERJ makes it worth the inconvenience.

Currently shows an International equipped plane...

Keep in mind that it's still 2 months out, but currently I would say you have a high chance of an upgrade

That flight is generally a 752 with BF configuration. You are correct that it is normally a continuation of LGW-CLE, but it is not uncommon to have it do the flight back to LGW if there are issues in EWR. The CLE-LGW equipment is scheduled to be a continuation of EWR-CLE.

It is too early to tell whether this 752 will have the new AVOD unit installed. I believe CO doesnt assign the actual equipment until several days prior to the flight. In addition, they might not even turn on the system for such a short flight.

Most of the flights from CLE-EWR are tough to obtain upgrades.

One more question... Continental's seat selector shows 16 D/E/F missing (as in empty white space)... None of the seatmaps for the 752 I've seen reflect this. Is this correct (at least as far as then 17 D/E/F would seem to either have a ton of leg room or be wedged up against a galley/lav)? [Right now 17D is free, and I'm in 17A... IF I got that much more leg room, it would make giving up a window attractive.

That's what I'm afraid of... at least I still get priority boarding. Last time I flew this route (pre-Elite) I would say that 75% of the pax were non-revs (or, rahter, people walking up to the podium listing for the flight and waving ID badges I assumed were non-revs) so I hoped that would bump up my chances...

On this route it's always hard to get an upgrade, lots of elites headed to/from NY. To add to that, there are 9.75 coach seats per first in the 75B as opposed to 6.625 in the 752 (in other words, less chance of an upgrade.)

Well it would be exotic to get an ERJ on this route, it's against the pilots contract!
