my name is Dan Honig and I am a junior at Arizona State University who majors in tourism managment. This summer I am looking for a summer internship possibility in New York. My strengths lie in tourism obviously, being very well traveled, the airline industry, geography, and being a very hard worker. Anyways if anyone is interested please e-mail me at Daniel.Honig@asu.edu

Keep an eye on Jetblue's website. We usually offer internships to college students during the summertime. Not sure if it is paid or not, but I believe it is.

Nygfan84, You might want to consider contacting Virgin America in Burlingame. I am leaving the airline company I have worked for for almost 12 years to head up their Pass Department on May 1st.

Quoting Nygfan84 (Reply 2): Ya I checked it out nothing is really on there
There is nothing listed yet, they usually start listing closer to summertime. Take a look again in May or so. They call it "College Crew" positions.

NYgfan,
You missed some of the JetBlue postings they were back in early Feb. They are making their decisions now as I've had a couple of calls about the few I applied for.
Also with the tourism background you have I'm not sure what kind of position airlines would like to have you in. In postings I see it tends to be a background in Aviation, Business, so something technology related.
Basically if you put tons of time into it things will go your way. Think out of the box. Start calling each airline's(or other companies) HQ and ask for the HR department then keep working the chain of commands and don't take no for an answer. If they don't offer something ask if they'd be willing to consider something on a volunteer basis. Be creative!
Also I know it isn't in NYC but USAir tends to post their stuff in late April.(For Washington DC) I was lucky enough to work with their systems forecasting department for a summer.
