Short clip of an American Airlines MD-80 landing at SFO on runway 19L on a breezy day at SFO. Note the tail drift a bit as the jet nears touchdown,,,,looks like a pretty rough landing. I filmed this from the BART parking garage in Feb 2005. I'm currently loading some 777 and 747 action from the same day, up to google, and I'll post here in a few days.

obviously we can't really say where he touched down on 19L but it seemed he rolled all the way to the end of the runway. That would make sense if you were going to the int'l or A terminal since they are situated closer to the end of 19's but the AA terminal is closer to 10/28. So could we assume he(she) landed long? came in faster then normal? or didn't use the brakes a tad harder so not to roll until the end? or does it even matter?
in terms of the last question....as a pilot would you use max brakes to get off the runway closer to your gate or just use sufficient amount of brakes and just roll out the length of the runway?

Thanks for all of the comments - I'm currently working to upload an Air France A340 - same runway, different day, different weather....I'll be waiting to see the comments on that one.........no clues, other than it'll make the AA MD-80 look like a cakewalk... It takes about 2-3 days for GoogVid to OK them for viewing..
