A Learjet apparently went off the runway on takeoff in the middle of the night/early morning. No fires or injuries from what the morning news said, but it apparently closed things down for a time, and there are likely residual delays.

Does anyone know how this pilot managed to get into the grass, which runway it was, who owns the jet, etc.? I cannot make out the registration on the grainy news camera photos.

Based on the pics on NBC10's website (specifically the third one), it looks like the plane was on 9R for takeoff and came to rest near Taxiway U, which is by the UPS/FedEx cargo ramp at the back of the airport.

I agree. 9R/27L is 10,500 feet in length. Taxiway U is in the last 30% of 9R, which seems to be a lot of runway indeed for only two people in the Lear.
The article doesn't really say much of anything, but is it possible that during the t/o roll, they experienced engine problems (article says fuel was leaking out) and they used all that runway length to bring the plane to a stop?
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
