News is just starting to flow in on a crash of a twin engine aircraft while on final to MLB... 3 Fatalities so far, as well as the fire starting a large brush fire... The plane was apparently en-route from JAX...

Edit: The location of near Ellis Road and East Drive puts the aircraft on about a mile final for 9R

Happened just short of my office...maybe three or four blocks. I talked to one of the EMT's at lunch, and he said it was (obviously) a bad situation.

Air traffic seems to be back to normal. FIT planes are back doing touch and go's.

From what I heard the guy was coming in to fast turning finals and the tower told him to slow down, the guy apperently entered a crosscontrolled stall and spun.

This is just hearsay here at FIT so dont quote me on it.

RIP to the victims.

The CEP of JT Byrider was in the plane along with his son-in-law.
