Does anyone know why they make the service doors (on a/c right) small and the entry doors (on a/c left) regular sized???

I cannot speak specifically to the E-190. But what you observe is fairly common. You will see it on other aircraft too:

Left side is designed for boarding/deplaning, so the doors are larger.

Right side is most often used for catering/servicing of the aircraft. Less of a need to have large numbers of people going in/out.

Still of course, all doors are of the size to be useable for evacuation in an emergency.

There would be less strain on the fusulage (from the pressure) if the door was smaller, and since the starboard doors don't need to be large (as explained in reply #1) they just make them smaller. Big grin

Smaller doors weigh less too!
