Lufthansa will be operating only 2 A340-600 flights from Munich this summer. San Francisco, California and Shanghai, China will be the only two routes.

How come they're reducing capacity in MUC? Are the loads not justifying basing a handful of A346s in MUC or is LH rearranging the entire fleet to meet demands in FRA?

Why did the KUL flight switch from MUC to FRA?

They don't reduce capacity. Three A346 remain based at MUC (two aircraft needed to operate MUC-PVG-MUC).

Nothing's worse than flying the same reg twice!

Quoting Swissgabe (Reply 2):

Lufthansa reduced overall capacity to BKK to one daily flight only, and as such the daily A346 on MUC-BKK was axed and the KUL and SGN tags moved to FRA.
