I know about all the flight tracking sites, but does anyone know of a (free, perferrably) site that shows you enroute traffic real time at your exact gepgraphic location ? On a clear day from home I see alot of contrails at the top altitudes, would love to be able to track them. Thanks.
PS: When I lived in my parents' high rise in NYC as a kid, I used to track contrails with a telescope. Once caught an Aeroflot TU-154 late afternoon, heading westbound directly over NYC. This was about 15 years ago, still curious where he was headed ... Chicago ? but it was awesome to be watching real Soviet metal at about FL400 almost directly over NYC.

well www.flightaware.com does show you local traffic if you type in an airport, and you can usually get some flight numbers off of that then search around there.

Real-time? Don't know of a single one. All the public products are time-delayed due to security.
