Well... Thats good news for Salina. I guess...

I know this is for STL but isnt there a flight restriction from Salina to MCI? If I'm not mistaken doesnt the flight have to stop in Manhattan first?

A few years back (IIRC) I was supposed to be on a flight from Salina back home to MCI. The flight first flew to Manhattan and I was bumped when it arrived a Salina because the flight was oversold in Manhattan. That was the last flight of the evening so I was mad enough that I rented a car and drove home.

Good to see RegionsAir getting more EAS. The service is bound to be better than the super-cheapo crap Air Midwest/Mesa can provide. I've been wondering why US keeps this MCI "focus city" intact. I know that Air Midwest is the provider and they do all the scheduling and route planning, but why hasn't US tried to pull the plug on this sooner? MCI's a horrible airport for a hub, especially when they didn't even have bathrooms inside the secure sections of the terminal. Yeah, that's right, until recently, MCI passengers who had to go the bathroom had to back past security and then come back through again.

Uhhhm MCI is or was a horrible hub? They have remodeled and put the bathrooms in the gate area. So if it was until recently is it still a bad hub?

Yeah, you're starting to say some fighting words. It's obvious that you don't know about the remodeling MCI has done.

Actually, I was aware of the remodeling that has taken place at MCI over the last few years. But I was commenting on how badly EA, BN, and US did over the years there.

Well, I agree that MCI IS a bad place to operate any sizable hub.
The gate configuration is horrendous.

For O&D its perfect and as long as you dont have to connect to another airline at another terminal its not too bad. I can think of a few other places that are just as bad. Ive had to take a tram at DFW, a bus at IAD etc etc...

The MCI TSA agents on the other hand... I'd like to smack every one of them.
