While in IAH for a layover, I had the opertunity to stop by the SIM building to see the instructors for our program. Now as many of you know we have the B767-400 sim running and are in the process of getting crews trained. If you remember in one of my previous posts I explaned what we had to do to qualify on this airplane.
Since I was on a trip, I have not been scheduled for my sim check yet. However, while in the building between training periods, I had the chance to get a few takeoffs, and landings in the box.
First, the cockpit is everything we all have been reading about. Very simular to the B777, with PFD's, Throttle quadrent, radio heads etc... Nice working enviroment for those 12 hrs flights...
The controls were responsive, and power available not bad. Takeoff is a single rotation at about 1 to 11/2 degree per second... I found the airplane to be very nice in the visual pattern conducting the ILS to touchdown.
As a side note; I am writing this on a hotel computer. And have been unable to post on my home computer using compuserve. I have left a couple of emails under the contact link but have heard nothing back. Does anyone have any ideas on whats up? Thank You....

HOw cool! Although you may be offended, im interested in what you will get paid to fly one of those awesome birds(dont answer the question if you are not compfortable talking about your salaryy), and also what will be the lay out? 30f,220y? Something like that i assume.
