LAN CHILE IS NOW ADDING SPARKLING NEW AIRBUS AIRCRAFT TO THEIR ALREADY YOUNG 767-300 FLEET !!
It's official, Lan Chile Airlines an active member of the oneworld alliance, is receiving its first five A320's and three A340's from its order of 40 Airbus Industries aircraft in about eight weeks time (OCT-NOV 2000).   This initial delivery will be made to the airlines technical logistics base (hub) of 'Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport' in Santiago, Chile. Ceremonies and corporate festivals in honour of the new aircraft are planned as an inauguration protocol prior to their maiden comercial departures out of the Chilean capital under Lan Chile livery and Chilean (CC-) registration.
These state-of-the-art airliners destined for Lan Chile are equipped with the most sophisticated and advanced technology available for in-flight entertainment systems, unique cabin add-ons and 'anatomic' seating in all classes, many of these features will be launched with the deliveries of these aircrafts and have never before been integrated onto any other Airbus Industries airliner to date. That crispy new smell inside the cabin and the shiny exterior look not to mention the innovative presence of futuristic features onboard is coming to Lan Chile.
