I agree, it's pretty ugly.
The titles on their A320s are much better.
Any ideas where the A319 came from?

The first A319 ferried through OSL Wednesday. The aircraft has registration EK-32011 - ex N803BR.
ACARS caught it as DH3201 .....

319 font seems a bit out of scale, but very similar. I like them both. Those ex-Independence birds are selling like hot cakes.

You really scared me at first!
C'mon, is not that bad. They kept the best part of the livery (in my opinion), the Orange color.
I don't think is a bad change.

Quoting OD720 (Reply 3): They say they will be adding frequencies for the summer season including BEY.
Good to hear! Hopefully during the daytime so you can photograph it.

They have a very agressive pricing policy and tend to kill competition by offering cheaper tickets. Are they really allowed to do that?
They say they'll be adding another A319 and possibly a single A330 to replace the IL86 they have. But I don't know if there are any available A330s on the market.

So many airlines fly here at night. I can only hope for long delays so that I can capture a few new ones, like the Turkish and LH planes I once did a few months ago. Wishful thinking
possibly not exactly "stylish" but not ugly either. Just large enough for short-sighted people to read, and also good when being somewhere in the approach !

I agree. The titles were stylish and modern on the 320, but look like a cheap charter carrier on the 319, and the flags are a little tasteless. Did they maintain DH's old seats in Coach?

Did Armavia leave the expensive mica paint (in their previous livery) for cheaper plain paint? I like the orange in combination with blue and white. What I do not understand is that they have used red instead of orange for the Russian "Armavia" subtitles (well I understand it because this colour is also in their national flag) but it makes it all too busy... The proportion of the fuselage titles is not in relation anymore to the rear design, pitty.
The latest design of Armavia:
I can understand the flag on the engine cowlings: it's a matter of pride. But the flag is depicted too huge, it's not sophisticated enough.

TK787, First one that I know of from the IDE batch that went to MEX instead of CWF (different leasing company)...All 8 of the CWF ones are accounted for (3 Air Berlin, 3 Izmir, 2 Air Madrid).

Just a modest change in liveries. I agree that the 320 looks better, but the 319 is in no way ugly either.

Quoting Halophila (Reply 20): I believe this is armenian, not cyrillic. I would like to see the armenian titles as the big ones, with smaller english ones!
Yes it is Armenian and the proportion of both the English and Armenian was better as well.
This is the ugliest title-ing on an Airbus. -To me- this is an ungainly and stubby looking plane to begin with - but to have such enormous titles makes it look even more so. The livery overall is pretty nice, but those titles should be WAY smaller.

That font looks as though they have stretched sideways to make it fit (rather than making it proportional) and from a graphic designer's point of view that is a BIG no-no.
And that picture looks as tough it is coming from a flight simulator program.

Here's some new info. I just read a long interview with Armavia's owner, Mikhael Bagdassarov.
The 2nd A319 will be delivered in May.
So the Armavia fleet will have:
3 A320s
2 A319s
2 Yak-42s
1 IL86
1 Yak-40
The Yak-42s are not being replaced and the A319s are just a fleet expansion.
They have also just ordered an A320 direct from Airbus. No delivery date is mentioned.
Also, no word of any A330 plans which is logical.
25 MIAMIx707: The flag is fine, and looks great in that size. It sets it apart from all the others who also have the same old boring blue engines, most with nothin
26 BA: I think A330s would look wonderful Armavia's livery. Here is some Armavia news, they are starting Anapa, Russia and Donetsk, Ukraine. http://www.arka
27 OD720: Just keep the old tiltes and it will look great!
28 Eirjet: HS748, you've hit the nail on the head.
29 JoeCattoli: I like better the new livery although the old orange was more appealing... I still hope it's just the light condition... I think it's pretty normal th
30 MIAMIx707: ..now where are the pictures of the IL-86 in Armavia livery? In new colors that should look stunning! A330? blahhh
